Ageing Care Courses
Individual support is a service that provides a broad range of individualised support to people requiring assistance with activities, daily requirements and/ or the development or acquisition of skills, through both governments funded and/or privately funded means in a range of diverse contexts. The main aim of Individual support is to motivate and maximise independence and participation in all activities and to achieve the personal goals of the person requiring support.
According to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee, the health care and social assistance industry will be employing close to 2 million people in Australia. The expected growth of Aged care and Disability Care workers is expected to increase from 173,000 to 245,000 in 2023. The forecast of the expected increase in jobs of managers level (22 percent) by 2023 indicates, more enrolments in Diploma level courses, especially by the existing workers in aged and disability care areas. There are different career options available after completing any of these courses.

Optimistic Futures is already providing CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, and recently got approved to deliver CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support & CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability. We will be able to offer these new courses for free from 2021. Optimistic Futures have direct access to its own simulated environment facilities, apart from access to NDIS service providers as well as aged care and disability service centres for its students.
